Deciding Factor for joining the Canadian Forces:
Childhood friends wanted to join and told him he would have a hard time. So, he proved them wrong.
Record of Service:
Joined the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in 1993 and was sent to 1 PPCLI. Rebadged to the Royal Canadian Regiment in 1997. Retired after many years of distinguished service in 2019
Tours and Deployments (Unclassified):
2x Tours to Bosnia, 1x Tour in Kosovo, and 1x Tour in Croatia. TF-1-10 Afghanistan with 1 RCR.
Rank Attained and Favorite Courses/Courses you wish you had been put on:
Happy Corporal. Favorite Courses were Mortars, Pioneer, Mountain Ops, White Water Canoe Instructor, Skidoo and ATV. Wished he had been put on Jump/Para Course.
Favorite Part about being in the Military:
The Shenanigans. Being able to “Spread the Bull” and people not taking it too seriously. The comradeship among friends and coworkers during stressful situations.
Non-Military Related Information:
Family Man. Married with 3 Children. Loves Canoeing and Kayaking. Huge Winnipeg Jets Fan. Camping and Trailering. Naps. Big time ACDC enthusiast. Chocoholic with a picky sweet tooth. Always down for a good old-fashioned game of Crib. Coffee Snob (Regular or Black) Go to Guy for cooking Mac and Cheese on his nights to cook. Dog Dad and Dog Grandpa to Zoey and Millie. Graduated with honors from Georgian College for Pharmacy Technician after retiring from the Military. Chad now resides in Steinbach Manitoba.
Ambitions, Goals and Personality Traits:
At this Age, it is “to continue waking up in the morning!” To support family as they get older and start the next stages of their lives. To grow Great Ape Empire and open his own specialty shop. Chad is extremely hard working and dedicated to any task he takes on. Resourceful and old-School scrounger. Ask him to get something done and it will be done, just don’t ask questions on how it got done or how he got it. Experienced with everything hands on. Master Bull Spreader and known as a Legend of starting a good harmless rumor (Random/Spontaneous Unit Kit Inspections). Loyal, Dependable, and all-around good guy. Grumpy in the morning without coffee and gets fired up watching NHL Playoffs.

CHAD’S ROLE IN THE EMPIRE:
Chad would like to go on adventures and test products before and during these adventures. He has an interest in learning the ropes with social media and has some kayak trips planned for the warmer weather. Chad always wants to stay connected with other Veteran groups and organizations.
